rf reddig's Pfhorever's M1 version was a map I came to quickly love. Since frequent netplay was easy for me since I have a network at home, I love netplay. But, I only have two systems and netnights aren't that frequent to keep me from jones'ing. What I needed was a killer net map that worked well for 2-4 players.

Pfhorever was the answer to my dreams. Plenty of action for two people. We actually did a 4 player once, it was rather heinous. I have a film, if anyone's interested.

I have modified rf reddig's release of pfhorever 2.0b1 mainly for one reason, it was too difficult, if not impossible to get out of the pools where the invincibility and alien weapon are. So some minor height changes and we were happening. But then I thought it's be nice to have some air, it was a little stuffy in there, so I opened the ceiling up and dropped a different texture in for the background. I noticed that the wrap on it is painfully apparent due to sloppy work by Bungie, but I kinda liked this one, so it stays...

I would like to thank Bungie for giving us a killer game. We true Marathon addicts tend to expect only the best for them and ride them hard when they don't meet our unrealistic expectations. I won't stop expecting the best, but let me say that I still love Marathon!

Thanks also to Steve Israelson for ripping out an M2 version of Pfhorte so quickly. Steve, see comments about Bungie above...

I would also like to thank Dan Walkowski for his killer M1 editor, MIA, in which I did the primary construction for most of my M1 maps. Hope to see the M2 version soon, Dan, and next time you make net night, I will seek revenge!

Let me not forget to thank FrigidMan for his advice and assistance, StarMan for his great maps and MapMaking AppleGuide, Masem for his plethora of killer maps and Axly for creating NetLink. Although I don't care much about modem play since I have a local network, NetLink has brought the accessibility of Marathon network play to those who have a harder time getting a game together.

And finally, thanks to the regulars of NetNight: Revvy, Damnerrung, Snit, Foo, Ru, Hubble, Cybernator and the not so regular Neuron, DuKK, Sardaukar and Rainsford for putting up with my lame organizational efforts and playtesting my maps.

NOTE: This version fixes an oversight in 1.0 that would cause a crash when entering a certain room.
